A trailer fire on La. 70 in Stephensville occurred around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday resulting in the total loss of the property. Stephensville Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Jody Acosta said 13 firemen and three fire apparatus responded from his department. Two men and one truck from the Belle River Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the blaze. A water heater is suspected as being the origin of the fire.
