SHREVEPORT – Police are searching for a trio of men who held up one of the city’s more-popular restaurants.

The Superior Grill on Line Avenue was robbed at closing time Sunday night.

Just before 11 p.m., as employees were leaving, three men who had been hiding among cars in its parking lot went into action.

One man brandishing a handgun forced an employee approaching to go back into the store. Then the other two men, each armed with a military-style knife, forced the other employees leaving back inside.

Inside, the robbers forced an employee to open the safe, which they then rifled. The robbers then fled on foot.
