Two die in fiery U.S. 190 crash

LIVONIA – Two people died of injuries received in a fiery crash west of here Easter weekend.

State Police said a vehicle driven by George Joseph, 54, of New Orleans struck the median guardrail on U.S. 190 near La. 976 about 1 a.m., spun and hit a second guardrail and burst into flames.

Joseph’s father, George Joseph, Sr., 78, died later of injuries from the accident. Another passenger, Jeannette Joseph, 80, of Donaldsonville was in the rear seat and died at the scene, police said.

Joseph, Jr. was critically injured.
