Craig McCain, United States Department of Agriculture, front left first photo, moderated a public comment hearing this morning at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on possible consolidation of the local Farm Service Agency with the Iberia Parish office. USDA is considering such consolidations nationwide as part of the mandatory budget cuts automatically triggered at the federal level after the deficit reduction panel failed to agree on cuts in November.
