Unbelted passenger dies wihen car hits trees

JENA – A passenger was killed when the car he was in left the road near here and crashed into some trees.

State Police said Kourtney Wilson, 26, of Jena lost control of her Altima just before daylight on US Hwy. 84.

Killed in the collision was Coryda Wright, 25, of Jena.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 84 near Jena.

Wright was not wearing a seatbelt.

Wilson and two other passengers received moderate injuries.
