Caroline Byrne led the team with 31 assists and four digs; Abbie Bergeron had seven digs and an ace; Amanda Barron had four digs and three aces; Brienna Hill had nine kills and five blocks; Celine Flores had six kills, six digs and an ace; Geralynn Garrett had six kills and three blocks; Maria Templet had seven digs and two aces; Meo Knight had 11 kills, three blocks and two digs; and Olivia Crawford had four digs.
The Lady Eagles will host district rival and highly ranked Houma Christian today at 5:30 p.m. in a rematch of CCHS’ only loss in district play.
MCHS loses to Vandebilt
The Lady Tigers’ volleyball team took a break from district action on Tuesday to take on Vandebilt Catholic, losing 3-0 (18-25, 19-25, 20-25).
Katelyn Adams led the team with six assists, four kills, three digs and an ace; Reina Fernandez had seven digs, two aces, two assists, a kill and a block assist; Kailyn Turner had five kills, three block assists and an assist; Savannah Loupe had two aces and two digs; Brooke Singleton had nine assists, four kills, two digs and a block assist; Genesis Esteban had two block assists and a kill; Jaiveianna Jones had three kills, two blocks and a block assist; Brittney Durham had six digs; and Allie Dragna had two digs.
The Lady Tigers’ junior varsity lost 2-0 (8-25, 22-25).
Marilynn Bailey had a team-high six digs, two kills and an ace; Layne Reynaud had three assists, a dig and an ace; Tyler Hebert had four digs and an ace; Taylor Prince had four assists and an ace; Kloe’ Liner had four kills and two digs; Elizabeth Esteban had two kills and two digs; Chandler Pasqua had three digs and a kill; and Loupe had five digs.
