Stay on the lookout: Franklin Police say a rash of vehicle burglaries over the weekend may be connected to an SUV seen in the area.

Police Chief Sabria McGuire said reports started flowing in late Thursday and Friday morning. They continued through the weekend.

A silver SUV was spotted and is possibly connected to the burglaries.

The perpetrators are breaking windows to get into the vehicles.

Burglaries have occurred in the areas of Lee, Canal, Oak and Magnolia streets. At least six have been reported.

McGuire asked residents to keep alert and report suspicious activity. Police received one reported of an individual walking from house to house in the area.
