VETERANS AND active-duty soldiers were honored by Franklin Women’s Republican Club during a May 17 lunch at the Petroleum Club in Morgan City. Guest speaker was veteran Jacque Ballay. Veterans on hand were, front row from left, Grant Patton, Ballay and William Bigler. Second row from left are Ferris Romaire, Howard Thibodaux, Mary Grace Gray, Dr. Leonard Wise, Dr. Frank Distefano, Dr. Mel Bourgeois and Gerard Fournet.
