“Voices of the Past” brought visitors to the city from near and far last weekend as part of the 200th birthday celebration for St. Mary Parish. From left, Techeland Arts Council opened the weekend with their inaugural production, “What A Ride!” featuring the history and stories of the local area. Pictured are Crystal Bell as local resident Marjorie Beverly Thomas and Austin Bertrand as the Master of Ceremonies; John Benge, secondphoto, portrayed President Theodore Roosevelt in St. Mary Landmarks’ “Sweet Remembrances” second cemetery tour Saturday; and Landmarks’ President Pam Daniels conducts a guided tour of Grevemberg House during the group’s Tour of Homes Sunday.
