William Johnson, 68, a native of Franklin and resident of New Iberia, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 7:50 a.m., at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m.
He leaves to cherish his memories one nephew, Tommy Hamilton Jr. of Franklin; two devoted cousins, John D. Burrell of Franklin and Ruthie B. Tilman of New Orleans; and other relatives, Ethel B. Smith of Vallejo, California, Beulah B. Thomas of Silver Spring, Maryland and Marion Burrell of Upper Brough, Maryland; and stepfather, Charles Peters of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother Clementine Williams; father, Johnny Johnson; grandmother, Elenora (NoNo) Shaw Williams; grandfather, Eddie “Bolo” Williams; two sisters, Eleanor “Ann” Francis Hamilton and Evelyn L. Francis Dorsey; aunt, Katie Francis; and one great aunt, Elizabeth Shaw Burrell.
