WSM Lady Wolfpack remain unbeaten in 6-2A

BALDWIN _ West St. Mary’s Lady Wolfpack upped their current District 6-2A winning streak to six in a row with a 58-27 victory over the Loreauville Lady Tigers Friday at the WSM Gym.

West St. Mary (6-0 in league play) seized control early in racing out front to a 19-6 first quarter lead over Loreauville. West St. Mary held a 27-15 halftime lead before taking a 36-24 bulge at the end of the third quarter. Down the stretch, the Lady Wolfpack sailed to the lop-sided 58-27 victory over the Lady Tigers.

West St. Mary’s Amber Joe fired in a game-high 22 points on 10 field goals and 2 of 4 free throws. Alexis Cross and Gentrell Wells poured in 10 points each. Cross knocked down four field goals with 2 of 6 free throws while Wells connected on a pair of treys and two deuces.

Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Wolfpack were: Chikira Tillman, 7; Kristien Thomas, 3; Sabrina Chartain, 3 and Chelsee Connor, 2.

West St. Mary will play host to the Jeanerette Tigers in District 6-2A action on Tuesday.
