Walker topples West St. Mary High Wolfpack

WALKER _ Walker High School scored early and often en route to a 40-10 win over the West St. Mary Wolfpack here Friday at the Walker High School Field.

Walker’s Kenny Thomas and Tyler Lockhart scored touchdowns in the initial stanza, leading the Chargers to a 16-2 first quarter lead.

The Chargers tallied 24 points in the second quarter, soaring ahead by a 40-10 halftime margin.

West St. Mary managed 10 points on a safety along with a two-yard touchdown run from Travell Dixon and a two-point conversion on a Dixon to Adonis Sterling pass completion.

West St. Mary (0-5) will travel to take on the Loreauville Tigers on Friday in the District 6-2A opener.
