Businesses in the area of David Drive and Brasher Avenue in Morgan City were without water for about two hours this morning due to a gasket that blew out of a collar on a water main. The break occurred shortly after 8 a.m. and city workers quickly repaired the break by 10:30 this morning. Several issues like age of the gasket, shifting of the ground or just the cold weather could have been the cause of the blowout.
