West St. Mary, which opened tournament play with a loss to South Lafourche, gained consecutive wins over Franklin and Centerville to notch the consolation victory.

Glenn Marsh led West St. Mary with 10 points as South Lafourche scored the 61-37 victory in the opening round of the Morgan City Tournament.
Other top scorers for the Wolfpack were: D’Andre Gabriel, 9; Jerald Hawkins, 6; Adonis Sterling, 6; Keondre Jackson, 3 and Otis Harris, 2.
WEST ST. MARY 43, FRANKLIN 36
West St. Mary claimed its first win in the tournament with a 43-36 win over the Franklin Hornets.
De’Andre Gabriel led the Wolfpack with 17 points while Jerald Hawkins tossed in 13 points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Wolfpack were: Glenn Marsh, 6; Dai Juan Stewart, 4; Adonis Sterling, 2 and Keondre Jackson, 1.
Avery Bell led the Hornets with a game-high 21 points.
WEST ST. MARY 49, CENTERVILLE 43
In the consolation final, West St. Mary scored a 49-43 victory over the Centerville Bulldogs.
D’Andre Gabriel led the way with 19 points while Glenn Marsh tallied eight points. Jerald Hawkins and Dai Juan Stewart finished with seven points apiece with Adonis Sterling adding five points and Keondre Jackson scoring three points.
Rodrick Taylor and Zaccheus Jackson led Centerville with 15 and 14 points respectively.
West St. Mary will play host to Northshore tonight with the boys jayvee starting at 5 p.m. with the boys varsity game set for 6 p.m.
In the nightcap, the West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack will play host to the Patterson Lady Jills at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the WSMHS Gym. The Lady Wolfpack currently hold a 1-1 record after playing in the Opelousas Tournament last week.
