BALDWIN _ A strong second half surge lifted the West St. Mary Wolfpack to a 70-60 District 2-A victory over the Jeanerette Tigers here Friday at the WSM Gym.

West St. Mary (3-0 in league play) went on a 21-13 run in the third quarter to earn a 46-35 bulge. Down the stretch, West St. Mary kept the upper hand rolling past Jeanerette by the final score of 70-60.

West St. Mary’s David Robertson pushed through a game-high 18 points on a pair of treys and six deuces to lead all scorers. Glenn Marsh drained 14 points, making good on two three-pointers and three two-pointers. Adonis Sterling contributed 12 points on five field goals and 2 of 3 freebies while Theron Jack polished off the Wolfpack double digit scorers with 10 on three field goals and 4 of 4 free throws.

Rounding out the scoring for the Wolfpack were: Travis Jones, 7; Christopher Jones, 3; David Anderson, 2; Thaddeus Gabriel, 2 and Kyler Jackson, 2.

West St. Mary will travel to face Catholic High of New Iberia on Tuesday in District 6-2A action.
