The Wolfpack led from the outset, building a 25-9 first quarter cushion. At the half, the Wolfpack clung to a 30-20 advantage. Franklin went on a 6-2 run in the third quarter, trimming West St. Mary’s lead to 32-26. Down the stretch, the Wolfpack outpointed the Hornets by a 13-10 margin to gain the 45-36 win.
Jerald Hawkins led the Wolfpack in scoring with 11 points followed by DeAndre Gabriel with 8. Dai Juan Stewart finished with seven points with Adonis Sterling scoring seven and Jontrey Tillman with six Glenn Marsh and Christopher Jones scoring four apiece.
Micheal Poledore led the Hornets in scoring with 11 points with Jevon Anderson tossing in 10. Other scorers for the Hornets were: Cedric Paul, 8; Jarion Brown, 5 and Avery Bell, 2.
