Wilbert A. Paul Sr., 74, a Verdunville native and resident, passed away Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. at his home.

Visitation will be held Saturday at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Verdunville from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville

Burial and military honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Verdunville. The Rev. Thomas Vu will officiate the services.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the St. Mary Parish School Board after working for over 30 years as a school bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Broussard Paul of Verdunville; two sons, Wilbert Paul Jr. and Randy Paul Sr.; four daughters, Jacqueline Griffin, Marilyn Paul Gunner, Markita Westley, and Lorena Benjamin, all of Verdunville; one brother, Floyd Paul Sr. of Verdunville; one sister, Mary Bourgeois of Verdunville; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and three sisters.
