June 27, 1930 — December 8, 2011

William E. Dupre, 81, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, in hospice care after battling a long illness. He was a native of Morgan City and a resident of Hot Springs, Ark.

William was an Army veteran who courageously served in World War II.

William is survived by his four daughters, Reba Badin and Kathy Dupre of Hot Springs, Ark., Julie Fryou of Amelia, and Billie Sue Dupre of Berwick; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis T. Dupre; his daughter, Tammy Dupre; and his parents, Clement and Bertha Dupre.

A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home and continues Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services at 11 a.m. in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel.

East St. Mary Veterans' Funeral Squad will conduct graveside services at the Morgan City Cemetery.
