Wolfpack too strong for Bulldogs

BALDWIN _ Theron Jack and David Robertson scored in double figures, lifting the West St. Mary Wolfpack to a 63-36 victory over the David Thibodaux High School Bulldogs here Tuesday at the WSMHS Gym.

West St. Mary (5-0 in District 6-2A action) seized control early with a 25-8 first quarter lead. After gaining the upper hand, the Wolfpack dominated David Thibodaux, a new school from Lafayette. West St. Mary secured a huge 34-16 halftime cushion before taking a 48-25 lead into the final period. The Wolfpack kept its six game winning streak intact with the easy 63-36 victory over David Thibodaux.

Jack poured in 13 points on five field goals and 3 of 4 free throws while David Robertson pumped in 12 points on five floor buckets and 2 of 4 charity shots.

Jemeriah White and Kyler Jackson rounded out the top scorers for the Wolfpack with nine points apiece.

On the night, the Wolfpack connected on 27 field goals and 11 of 15 free throws while limiting the Bulldogs to 14 field goals, including one trey and 5 of 8 free throws.

West St. Mary will travel to face Loreauville in District 6-2A on Friday.
