Bobbie Jo Fitch, 30, of Kidd Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday. A deputy located Fitch at a residence on Lincoln Drive in Patterson on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a disturbance at a location on La. 182 in Amelia. During the investigation, it was learned that Fitch struck the victim multiple times with a belt, the report stated. She was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Destiny James Landry, 37, of Joey Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for possession of Schedule II (cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace by fighting. Landry turned himself in to the sheriff’s office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a disturbance at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy observed a broken window in one of the rooms. During the investigation, the deputy located a small bag of cocaine in the room. Landry was taken to the parish jail and held. His bail is not set.
—A juvenile male, 15, of Verdunville, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday in Patterson for curfew violation. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of an ungovernable juvenile who was running away from home. The deputy located the juvenile. Following an investigation, he was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Michael Carbin, 30, of St. Claire Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of attempted distribution of cocaine. A deputy located Carbin at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrests:
—Kevin Batiste, 35, of Williams Street in Patterson, was arrested at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday, for theft of more than $500 ($4,910.51).
Police received a call of a theft at a local food store. The complainant told officers that Batiste had gone to the store to cash a check in the amount of $4,910.51. Payment was stopped on the check on the advice of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Batiste was taken to jail and held with bail set at $25,000.
—Tanya Dupre, 38, of Marietta Place in Gray, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to pay fine for speeding. Dupre was taken to jail and released after posting $258 bail.
—Tanisha Jones, 22, of Camille Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday for a probation violation. Jones was taken to jail and held. Bail is set at $500.
—Jessica Olds, 37, of Bayou Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday for theft of goods ($10.05).
Officers were dispatched to the Morgan City Grill in regards to a subject leaving the restaurant without paying for their meal. Upon arrival, they learned that Olds had ordered a hamburger and ice tea. After eating, she left the restaurant, not paying the bill. She was located on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and arrested. She was taken to jail and held with bail set at $422.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
