MORGAN CITY, La. -- The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 53-year-old woman Wednesday who had been featured in January’s Most Wanted story, after she turned herself in at the sheriff’s office.

Nancy Comeaux, 53, of Moffet Court in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of Schedule III (hydrocodone). Comeaux turned herself in to the sheriff’s office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for her arrest.

The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics division detectives in March 2012.

While patrolling the Morgan City area, narcotics division detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal a turn. Detectives made contact with the driver, who was identified as Comeaux. During the investigation, detectives located a suspected pill on Comeaux and lab results confirmed that the pill contained hydrocodone, the report stated. A warrant was issued for her arrest. No bail is set.
