A female Louisiana black bear is believed to have been killed when she was struck by a vehicle early today, according to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries officials. The bear was found in the median of U.S. 90 near Sonic in Patterson and retrieved by officials around 8:15 a.m. today.
