A RAFFLE WAS held during the Franklin Women’s Republican Club luncheon held May 17 at the Petroleum Club in Morgan City. The event was held to honor veterans and active duty soldiers. Veteran Jacque Ballay was guest speaker. The raffle raised money to help the club provide supplies to help meet soldiers’ greatest need. Katherine Distefano won the raffle and gave the quilt she won to Ballay. The club will use funds raised to provide necessities for soldiers.
