Local charities got a big boost Tuesday with donations to two Franklin agencies by David and Dale Hartford (manager of Danny’s Fried Chicken) of Data Management Systems Inc. of Patterson. The Hartfords, at left above, donated loads of toys to Chez Hope and 20 cases of food to the Emergency Aid Center. With them above are Chez Hope staff Vanetta Thomas, Cynthia Segura, Ida Borel and Rebecca Rodriguez. They are shown below with Patti Ibert, director of the Emergency Aid Center, a united Way for south Louisiana agency. Old Fashioned Christmas Victorian Tours are being held this week at the Grevemberg House Museum in Franklin. More than 250 local students will tour the house this week and experience a true Victorian Christmas. The tour is done with the help of 30 volunteers coordinated by Susan Guidry and Karen Wheeler. The event, sponsored by St. Mary Landmarks, will be open to the public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon for a special rate of $1 per person.
