Thursday they were in Patterson as they continued their trek across the Gulf Coast toward Texas. Their quests are accomplished in spurts, with the current one beginning in Seminole, Ala., Jan. 11. The globe is made of canvas with a waterbed inner tube. It frequently requires repairs as it encounters the elements on their travels. Follow Bendl's travels on his blog at www.worldguy.org or via his facebook site http://www.facebook.com/erikbendl. The most recent blog post is about Bendl’s trek through Patterson.
