THE MORGAN CITY High School Fighting Tigers defeated Ellender Memorial, 13-4, in five innings on Saturday in District 8-4A action. Morgan City pitcher Dylan Hymel limited the Patriots to five hits, while the Tigers pounded out 14 hits in the victory. Above, Morgan City’s Brennan Scully attempts to score during Saturday’s action. The Tigers will return to action, beginning today, with three district contests this week. The Tigers will play South Terrebonne today and Tuesday, while on Saturday, the squad will play Vandebilt Catholic.
