The Morgan City High School dance team, the Fancy Dancers, won the National Championship in High Kick among all classes and recorded several other high finishes at the American All-Stars National Championships at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. in February. The squad also won first place in Division 1 in High Kick, third place in Division 1 in the PomPom, third place in the High School Officer division and fourth place in Division 1 in hip-hop.
