SMPSO nabs man for multiple counts

Jonathan Perro, 22, of Grandwood Drive in Patterson was arrested Monday at 10:49 p.m. for disturbing the peace and warrants for battery domestic abuse, criminal damage to property, theft, unauthorized use of an access card and a warrant for simple battery and criminal damage to property.

A deputy was called to Grandwood Drive in reference to a disturbance. When the deputy approached, Perro was observed walking away from the area and detained. The deputy learned Perro had warrants for his arrest and took him into custody.

Perro was booked into the parish jail without bond.

Carley Griffin, 27, of Francis Street in Berwick was arrested Monday at 1:45 p.m. on a warrant for a hit and run and careless operation of a motor vehicle.

The warrant stems from an accident on Sunday at US Highway 90 and Berwick South Road. There were no injuries.

Morgan City Police located Griffin’s vehicle and contacted Berwick Police Department.

Griffin posted bond on Monday.
