The Patterson Pride picked up an important win in Swampland play on Monday with a 5-2 victory over Vandebilt Catholic.

The Pride pulled off the win on a mere six hits but they were timely.

Patterson will host E.D. White at 7 p.m. today in the last game of league play.

Thibodaux 11, Taco Bell 1

Taco Bell, made up of Berwick players, had a tough time on the road Monday in a 11-1 loss to Thibodaux.

Nick Duthu took the loss on the mound going four innings with four strikeouts, five walks and eight runs with six earned on six hits.

Chaz Russo came on in relief for 11/3 innings and struck out one, walked two and allowed three runs on three hits.

Russo led Taco Bell at the plate going 1-for-2 with a double; Lee Rhodes was 1-for-3; Matt Skelton was 1-for-2; and An-thony Richard was 1-for-1.

Taco Bell will travel to face Vandebilt Catholic at 7 p.m. today.

Skippers, Cajuns rained out

The Cajuns game in Amelia scheduled for Monday against Skipper’s was rained out.

The time and date of the make-up game is to be determined.
