Emily Claire Fangue and Keith Joseph Norton Jr. exchanged wedding vows April 2 at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation in Waggaman. U.S. Coast Guard Chaplain Timothy White officiated the 6:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Trina and Bobby Percle of Stephensville, and Doug and Suzan Fangue of Patterson. The groom is the son of Liz and Keith Norton Sr. of Kenner.

Decorations for the outdoor ceremony included hurricane candles and rose petals lining the aisle, and the plantation’s gardens completed the setting.

Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an ivory organza and satin gown designed with fitted bodice enhanced by asymmetrical wraps of organza. Swarovski crystals adorned the one-shoulder detail. The organza shirt was constructed with a three-dimensional effect and accented with feathers.

Her fingertip length veil was trimmed with crystal beads.

She carried three dozen circus roses wrapped in ivory ribbon. Finishing the bouquet was the a wedding ring belonging to the bride’s paternal grandmother, the late Pearl Fangue.

Marisa Nardoni, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor. Laurie Johnson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids wee Sarah Fangue, sister of the bride; Stacy McNeely; Rachel Boudoin; Jeannie Le; Taryn Dykes, cousin of the bride; and Kristen Dikeman, sister of the groom.

Bridal attendants each wore an apple-red, strapless dress of floor-length textured satin featuring an empire waist.

Paityn Dykes, godchild of the bride, was flower girl.

Ringbearer was Trace Norton, son of the groom.

J.P. Doughty served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Sykes; Adam Fangue, brother of the bride; Ryan Dikeman, brother-in-law of the groom; Joshua Guillot; J.R. Santellanes; Jeff Argyle; and Neil Rice.

Rice was also an usher.

A reception immediately followed.

Tables were decorated with candles, red flower petals and favors.

The wedding cake was a three-tiered hexagonal cake covered in red, rolled fondant adorned with gold accents. Topping the confection was a porcelain bride and groom figurine.

Adorning the bride’s table was red rose petals, candles, and circus roses and alstroemeria lily bouquets.

The groom’s motorcycle helmet cake featured red and black fondant.

Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Zeke’s Restaurant in Metairie.

Prenuptial parties included a bridal shower at Café JoJo’s in Morgan City given by Nardoni and the bride’s grandmother, Mary Lou Theriot; and a surprise couples’ luau given by the wedding party.

The bride is a graduate of Morgan City High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of New Orleans. She is a substitute teacher in Jefferson Parish.

The groom is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in New Orleans. He is in the U.S. Coast Guard assigned to USCGC Pamlico in Michoud.

They honeymooned in Playa del Mar, Mexico, and reside in Kenner.
