Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents arrested three people on multiple drug charges Wednesday, according to St. Mary Parish Sheriff David Naquin.

Agents conducted a search warrant at the residence of Bruce Campbell, 41, of 109 Carolyn Road in Bayou Vista and reportedly located oxycodone, Valium, crack cocaine, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the residence.

The pills had a street value of $5,000, and agents also seized $1,393 cash, Naquin said.

Campbell was charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of Valium with intent to distribute distribution of oxycodone, possession of crack cocaine, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation, agents reportedly located Campbell’s cell phone and made contact with Anthony Variet, 23, of 407 Cleveland St,. Patterson, and negotiated a purchase of crack cocaine.

Police say Variet arrived with Kurin Webb, 17, of 1041 Grace St., Siracusaville, and were detained, with Variet resisting and physically subdued. Variet was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and resisting an officer, and Webb was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

Agents reportedly located several rocks of crack cocaine on the ground near Variet, and a piece of crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana in the vehicle. They seized $922 dollars from Variet and Webb.

No bonds were set.

Task force agents also reported the unrelated arrest of Michael Crouch, 25, of 408 Tiffany St., Patterson, Wednesday at 2 p.m. on charges of possession of oxycodone, failure to signal and warrant on charges of issuing worthless checks and failure to appear on speeding charges. No bond was set.

In other police activity, Sheriff Naquin reported the arrest of a juvenile male, 17, of Patterson, Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. He was held at the St. Martin Juvenile facility awaiting court proceedings.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Jamarcus Andre Gunner, 17, of Sterling Road, Franklin, today at 3:20 a.m. on charges of no vehicle headlamps, no driver’s license and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was held on a $750 bond.
