Darius Johnson and Nefertiti Hawkins
The bride-elect attended Southern University in Baton Rouge and graduated from North Harris Community College and Everest Institute. She is currently employed at American Research Study.
The prospective groom is the son of Mary Charles and the late David Johnson. He is currently employed with DCW Trucking.
The wedding ceremony and reception will take place Saturday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. The wedding and reception are by invitation only.
