Police this week arrested Kellerick Geraymnd Mott, 32, for allegedly growing marijuana on property he shared with his grandmother.
Chief Carroll Stelly said officers developed information regarding Mott while working a prescription drug ring case, a ring allegedly headed by Mott’s brother Dominique, who was arrested last week.
Oofficers went to the residence where they located a marijuana growing operation set up in a shed on the property. It was utilizing artificial light sources concealed within an enclosed building. Officers also allegedly located a semiautomatic firearm and a Schedule 4 controlled dangerous substance on the property.
Kellerick Mott is charged with cultivation of marijuana, illegal possession of a firearm around controlled dangerous substances and possession of a schedule IV CDS: Lorazepam.
It is believed that the suspect’s grandmother did not have any prior knowledge of the marijuana operation.
