Mothers take their daughters from foster parents, flee

RUSTON – The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office and LA Department of Children and Family Services are requesting assistance in locating two children who are in state custody and were taken from their foster parents by the children’s biological mothers.

Around noon Sunday, Elke Deason and Elke Victoria Deason were visiting their daughters at Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna (north of Ruston) with the girls’ foster parents when the biological mothers left with the children in a white 1997 Pontiac Sunfire bearing Louisiana license plates.

Eshli Kunz is a 13-year-old white female who is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, has brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black floral print dress with a knitted black sweater and jewel-studded flip-flops.

Jazzlynn Deason is an 8-month-old bi-racial female who weighs approximately 16 pounds, has blue eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink one-pieced outfit and a pink headband with a bow.

Elke Deason (mother of Eshli) is a 52-year-old white female who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs approximately 110 pounds, and has grey/blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a dark blue dress.

Elke Victoria Deason (mother of Jazzlynn) is a 19-year-old white female who is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 105 pounds, has a thin-build and long blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a white sundress with gold print. She has been described as having a speech impediment.

Ken Harris, the boyfriend of Elke Victoria Deason and driver of the Pontiac Sunfire, is an 18-year- old black male.
