Eunice Police said they were contacted July 15 by a local business, which had noticed discrepancies in its accounting, to the extent that a large amount of money was unaccounted for.
Eunice Police did not identify the business.
The investigation led police to suspect Cureese A. Richard, 38, of 303 N. 2nd St., also known as Angelle Arnaud, formerly employed by the business as a salesperson.
Police allege that while Richard was making sales for the business, she was taking some for herself.
The investigation is ongoing, and a final tally is not available, but police allege Richard stole several thousand dollars from her employer.
Richard was on vacation at the time the warrants were issued, but turned herself in upon returning, police said.
On Tuesday, Richard appeared before Judge Donald Hebert and her bod was set at $50,000.
