Football teams in St. Mary Parish are in pads for the first time this week as preparations continue for the Aug. 26 jamborees and the season opener on Sept. 2. Morgan City hosts the jamboree and will play West St. Mary, and they travel to Lafayette to face Comeaux to start the season.
