Introduced without comment last month by Councilman Dale Rogers, the ordinances are now up for a vote or other action.
The ordinances would set the pay of the at-large district councilman, who is also mayor pro tempore, at $900 per month.
The four single-member district councilmen would be paid $800 per month.
Their current salaries are $500 per month for both single-member and at-large districts.
The mayor’s salary would be $70,000 per year. Currently the mayor is paid $48,000 per year.
All would take effect for the next term of the mayor and council, if passed.
Also Tuesday, guests include Council on Aging Director Beverly Domengeaux, and Barry Granger. No subject is listed on the agenda for either guest.
Condemnation of property proposals are to be presented by City Inspector Blake Steiner for 204, 318 and 308 Talbot St.
Ordinances for introduction include open alcohol container regulation and regulating transient merchants. These are existing ordinances that need to be re-codified.
Mayor Raymond Harris will seek approval of appointment of Ed Hay as finance director at a salary of $60,000 per year.
Councilman Chuck Autin is slated to discuss littering and trash on city streets.
The council meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall on Iberia Street.
