He and 17 teammates are living the dream of every youngster who puts on a Little League uniform - getting to Williamsport, Penn. for the championship series.
And they’re doing it in the same Series in which Lafayette’s 11-12-year-old team is representing the Southwest Division.
Elliott will have more than baseballs in his baggage. He plans to take plenty of “Frog Capital of the World” souvenirs to trade with other players at the Series for items from their home towns.
The Challenger game will be played on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 10:45 a.m. It will be teleivised live on ESPN3.com.
Elliott is the son of Mike and Marlene Venable.
The teenager as played on the team with other disabled players for four years, since he was 14.
Additionally, he is a junior wide receiver on the St. Thomas More High School football team.
