The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edgar Joe Burrell Jr. and the late Vivian Boatman Burrell, Dezzie Alonzo Shavers Sr. and the late Ruby Lockett Sweat. She is a graduate of Franklin Senior High School and is currently employed with Stuller, Inc. in Lafayette.
The prospective groom is the son of Linda Decuir of New Iberia. He is the grandson of Nolia Celestine. He attended both New Iberia Senior High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently employed with The Bayou Company in New Iberia.
The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, September 3 at 5 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in New Iberia.
