All three local teams enter Week 4 of the grid season with the taste of victory lingering after last week’s action.

The undefeated Hanson Memorial Tigers _ who play host to the Delcambre Panthers tonight _ are coming off a 28-12 triumph over the Pine Prairie Panthers last week.

Franklin Senior High School Hornets will play host to the Abbeville Wildcats for Homecoming and the opening of the District 9-3A season after earning a 37-12 victory over the Opelousas Tigers last Thursday.

The unbeaten West St. Mary Wolfpack heads into action Friday on the road at Kaplan boasting a perfect 3-0 record.

DELCAMBRE AT HMS

The Hanson Memorial Tigers of District 7-A will play host to old nemesis the Delcambre Panthers of District 6-2A tonight at 7 at McCloskey Field.

Hanson is currently 3-0 after posting three straight wins to open the 2011 season. HMS has combined timely scoring with a stout defense to move to a perfect 3-0 record on the season.

Before moving to 6-2A this season, the Hanson Tigers and Delcambre Panthers would battle each year in District 7-1A.

Delcambre heads into tonight’s contest looking for its first win of the season. Delcambre (0-3) dropped a 22-13 decision to Elton last week.

ABBEVILLE AT FSHS

Fresh off its first win of the season last Thursday, the Franklin Hornets open District 9-3A action Friday while celebrating Homecoming at J. C. Dry Stadium.

Franklin (1-2) put together a fantastic four quarters last week for a resounding 37-12 victory over the Opelousas Tigers.

Franklin enters Friday’s action coming off the 37-12 win over Opelousas while Abbeville (0-3) looks to rebound from last week’s 51-6 loss to the Rayne Wolves 51-6.

The Franklin Hornets will celebrate Homecoming and the opening of District 9-3A Friday when the Abbeville Wildcats visit J. C. Dry Stadium at 7 p.m.

WEST ST. MARY AT

KAPLAN

The undefeated West St. Mary Wolfpack will hit the road to battle the winless Kaplan Pirates on Friday at 7 p.m.

West St. Mary (3-0) rolled over the Ellender Patriots last week by a 33-13 margin while the Kaplan Pirates (0-3) suffered a 36-10 loss at the hands of the St. Martinville Tigers.

West St. Mary travels to battle the Kaplan Pirates of District 9-3A on Friday at 7 p.m.
