Another arrest was made Thursday in connection with the string of burglaries in the area over the last few days.

Police are also advising residents in some areas to check for missing items.

Rusty Bordelon, 23, of Weber Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:26 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging him with illegal possession of stolen property over $20,000. No bond was set.

Bordelon is the fifth arrest in a series of burglaries stretching from Charenton to Franklin.

Much of the stolen items were recovered during arrests Wednesday, but Police Chief Sabria McGuire said residents of Eastwood Subdivision in Franklin and the Irish Bend area should check for missing items such as power and garden tools that they may not realize are missing.

They should also check RV campers for missing items as well, McGuire said.

If anyone discovers that something might have been stolen, they can go to Franklin Police headquarters on Second Street to identify their property if it has been recovered.
