Edmae Adams Landry, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Broussard, passed away today, Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Camelot of Broussard surrounded by her loving family.
Edmae was a beloved mother and grandmother (Mae-Mae) and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her five children, Kathryn Barras and husband Sidney of Morgan City, Paulette Kennerson and husband Roger of Broussard, Monica “Sue” LeBlanc and husband Oza of Carencro, Lewis “Johnny” Landry Jr. of Morgan City, and Mark Landry of Morgan City; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Eulice Adams and Merval Adams, and one sister, Hilda “Dot” Dobard, all of Morgan City.
Edmae was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Landry Sr.; her parents, Clive and Louise Adams; and four siblings, Ruby Written, Beulah Estay, Roberta LaCoste and Rosalie Dupuy.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resuming on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home with a service beginning at 2 p.m.
She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
