The car was found Friday morning, having apparently broken down outside city limits.
The teenage suspect and 13-year-old girlfriend were later found by police, and after an interview with officers, the girl revealed her relationship with LaFleur and details of their alleged plan to run off together, according to Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies.
Phillip LaFleur, 17, of 311 N. 12th St., was arrested and charged with unauthorized entry, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, simple kidnapping, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, criminal damage, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, switched plates and no driver’s license, a total of 10 charges.
