BALDWIN — Runningbacks Nick Julien and Jermaine Antoine combined for six touchdowns, leading the Loreauville Tigers to a 61-12 victory over the West St. Mary Wolfpack in the District 6-2A opener here Friday at Wolfpack Stadium.

Julien rushed for a game-high 276 yards and four touchdowns while Antoine picked up 139 yards and two scores to spark the 4-1 Tigers.

West St. Mary’s Jontrey Tillman gained 177 yards, scoring one touchdown while setting up another.

Despite Tillman’s heroics effort, the Tigers proved too much for the Wolfpack.

Loreauville built up a 34-0 halftime cushion on touchdown runs from quarterback Raymond Bonnette along with two each from Julien and Antoine.

In the third quarter, Tillman raced untouched 68 yards, setting up Devone Robertson’s 5-yard TD.

Julien, who rushed 27 times for 276 yards, added a pair of scores in the third and fourth quarters, giving 55-12 advantage.

Sandwiched in between Julien’s second half touchdowns, Tillman broke free on a 70-yard TD jaunt, scoring the Wolfpack’s second TD of the night.

Once Julien finished finding the endzone, he turned things over to Bonnette and Alex Knatt, who capped the scoring with fourth quarter touchdowns.

Tillman led the Wolfpack in rushing with 11 carries for 177 yards and one touchdown. Tre’vell Dixon finished with 8 carries for 28 yards while Devone Robertson had six totes for 25 yards and one touchdown with Glenn Marsh carrying six times for 15 yards.

Julien was the game’s leading rusher with 276 yards on 27 carries and four TDs. Antoine rushed 12 times for 139 yards and two scores while Bonnette carried seven times for 31 yards and two TDs.

Bonnette connected on 4 of 5 attempts for 39 yards and no interceptions while WSM’s Dixon was 3 for 14 for 26 yards and two interceptions.

Dai Juan Stewart caught both passes from Dixon for 26 yards.

West St. Mary (4-2, 0-1) will travel to face the Comeaux Spartans on Thursday in non-district action.
