Rosemary Swan-Smith, 78, a Sorrell native and Jeanerette resident, died Oct. 6 at her residence at 8 p.m.

Visitation will be Friday at First Jerusalem Baptist Church, 835 Monnot Road, Jeanerette, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in the Sorrell Community Cemetery.

Swan-Smith is survived by five sons, Miller Smith Jr., Leroy Smith, Craig Smith Sr. and Kevin Smith Sr., all of Sorrell, and Henry Smith of New Iberia; two daughters, Brenda August of Jeanerette and Paula Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, a brother, a sister and a special friend.
