Parish celebrates 200th this weekend

“Voices of the Past” starts tonight with the inaugural production of Techeland Art Council’s No Hitchin’ entitled “What a Ride!” Perfromances are tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. The production features stories of the Franklin and Teche area through song, dance, and dialogue. Cost is $15 per person. Sweet Remembrances Cemetery Tour will be held, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s cemetery tour will highlight over 25 graves and several homes. Cost for the Cemetery Tour is $15 per person. The Tour of Homes will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Seven homes will be open to the public. Cost for the Tour of Homes is $25 in advance, $30 per person at the door. See our special section in today’s newspaper highlighting all the weekend’s activities.
