Christine “Teen” Elizabeth Verrett, a longtime resident of Morgan City, passed away Oct. 19, 2011, at the age of 92.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Earline V. Jones of Morgan City and Geneva V. Parker of Morgan City; three brothers, Victor Gaudet of Amelia, Felix Gaudet of Berwick and Louis Gaudet of Bayou L’Ourse; and a sister, Lorena Aucoin of Amelia. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Charlotte Walker and husband Rodney of Sulphur; her grandson, James W. Jones and his fiancé Lori Derise of Morgan City; her great-granddaughter, Jill Ann Walker and her fiancé Dave Cain; and great-great grandson, Cole James Walker.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson “Pete” A. Verrett; her parents, Felix and Rosalie Gaudet; and her brothers, Hembley, Arnes, John and Gilday Gaudet.

Visitation will be today, Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Visitation will resume Friday at 9 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2 p.m.

Christine will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
