Edward A. Fangue, a native of Avoca Island and a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011.

Edward was born Feb. 3, 1917, the son of Joseph and Mary Jane DeHart Fangue. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Simoneaux Fangue; three daughters, Carol Beadle, Rickie Lynn Landry and Pam Nagim, all of Bayou Vista; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Edward J. Fangue; one daughter, Ramona Landry; one son-in-law, Woodrow Beadle; four brothers and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Edward will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
