Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Broussard Romero of Berwick; one daughter, Veronica Romero Governale of Morgan City; one son, Timothy J. Romero of Morgan City; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Josephine LaCoste, Linda Aliff and Merrell Romero.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters, two sons, two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Romero will be buried in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
