EAST GATE BBQ, LOCATED in the East Gate shopping center in Morgan City, celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 28, with a St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Cutting the ribbon is Mayor Tim Matte and East Gate BBQ owner Harlan Kappel were joined by many chamber, local and St. Mary Parish officials as well as Kappel’s family, friends and employees. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call 384-7675.
